I spent most of today working the phone and laptop. calling the agent from our new PR firm about a dozen times with various questions, poor thing. I'm liking what I'm doing, a new adventure no doubt.
I've been following the news on Johannes Mehserle, the Oakland BART cop who shot a 22 year old unarmed man dead on New Years Eve. Oscar Grant, the victim, was laying face-down on the concrete with police officers restraining him. BART passanger's videoing the killing on their camera phones quickly uploaded the clips online and outrage was sparked.
The people of Oakland responded with riots, furious over the murder of another unarmed young man by police gone out of control.
Everyday, the American situation grows worse. Quality of life is declining, our identity as consumers is crumbling. Rampant police brutality just piles more filling on the shit sandwich. What is it going to take to get to a sane world?
